Hyperidea a suborder of the order Amphipoda, subclass Cirripedia, class and subphylum Crustacea. The hyperids are specialized, marine, planktonic amphipods, typically having enormous eyes covering the entire head, reduced coxal plates, and often a rather spherical body shape. See also Amphipods.
